Ingredients

  • 4 Grillbratwurst Sausages
  • 1/2 Red Onion (Sliced)
  • 4 Hot Dog Rolls
  • 50g Cheese (Grated)
  • Dijjon Mustard
  • Tomato Sauce

Note

Sausage Sizzle, well yes, but with a great German butcher just up the road (Elmars) we couldn't just use any normal snag. Instead we used their famous Grillbratwurst  which is a combination of pork, veal and beef, medium ground, which is very tasty and not hot.

Directions

Step 1
Turn on toasted sandwich maker and give a quick spray with cooking oil
Step 2
Slice Onion and place on toasted sandwich maker sprinkle with a pinch of salt, close and remove when cooked ~2-3 minutes
Step 3
Place Bratwurst sausage onto to the sandwich maker and close lid, cook for 6 minutes turning once halfway through cooking
Step 4
Remove the sausages and cover to keep warm
Step 5
Butterfly open the rolls and place open side down on grill, toast for a minute only (do not close the lid)
Step 6
Spread mustard on each side of the roll, add onions, cheese and sausage. Add tomato sauce and eat!
